STATUTES
of the Association of Pipe Smoking Clubs of the Czech Republic
Article I - Basic provisions
The name of the association is the Association of Pipe Smoking Clubs of the Czech Republic (hereinafter referred to as the Association).
The Association is headquartered in the place of residence of the President of the Association.
The Association is an association of individual pipe smoking clubs from the Czech Republic.
Article II - Activities of the Association
The activities of the Association are focused on organizing events that support pipe collecting, slow pipe smoking competitions, exhibitions, trips, excursions, and lectures, popularizing pipe smoking and providing objective information to the public, and deepening the knowledge and awareness for all interested people.
The activities of the Association are managed by a five-member Board of Directors, elected by the General Assembly of the Association for a period of four years. The Board of Directors meets regularly every quarter and convenes the General Assembly of the Association at least once a year. Meetings of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly of the Association may also be convened on the occasion of the Association's events.
The activities of the Association are not for profit.
Article III - Membership in the Association
Membership in the Association is voluntary.
Membership in the Association is:
a) Collective (club with 3 or more members) b) Individual c) Honorary
A pipe smoking club from the Czech Republic that respects and recognizes the Statutes of the Association, is guided by them in its activities, and does not engage in activities aimed against the goals and interests of the Association may become a member of the Association.
A pipe smoking club may become a member of the Association by submitting a written application to the Board of Directors of the Association. The Board of Directors will consider the application at its next meeting and decide by voting whether to accept or reject the new member of the Association.
Each member of the Association upon admission submits a completed Record Form containing the following information about the pipe smoking club: Name of the pipe smoking club, IČO if the club is registered with the Ministry of the Interior, Number of members of the club, Name and address of the president of the club, Telephone number. The Record Forms are kept by the Secretary of the Association, who will provide a current list of members of the Association upon request.
A member of the Association who acts in violation of the Statutes or interests of the Association or damages the good name of the Association by his or her actions may be excluded from the Association on the basis of a vote of the General Assembly.
Article IV - Bodies of the Association
The Association has the following bodies: General Assembly of the Association and Board of Directors of the Association
The General Assembly of the Association consists of collective members of the Association, each pipe smoking club delegates its representative to this general assembly, who has one vote in the voting. Other members of the Association may be invited to the meeting of the General Assembly on the basis of a decision of the Board of Directors of the Association, but these members have only an advisory vote in the meeting of the General Assembly. The General Assembly of the Association as the supreme body of the Association decides on fundamental issues of the activities of the Association, in particular on the termination of the activities of the Association, on changes and amendments to the statutes, elects the Board of Directors of the Association, and may elect or appoint other bodies and officials of the Association to ensure the individual events of the Association.
The Board of Directors of the Association is five-member:

- 1st Vice President
- 2nd Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
Each member of the Board of Directors has one vote in the voting. The meeting of the Board of Directors is chaired by the President, or the Vice President. The Board of Directors of the Association organizes and manages the activities of the Association, fulfills the tasks assigned to it by the General Assembly, and decides on all matters that are not assigned to the General Assembly by the Statutes. The Board of Directors of the Association is authorized to act on behalf of the Association. Records of such negotiations, as well as records of the meetings of the Board of Directors and the meetings of the General Assemblies, are kept by the Secretary of the Association, who sends these records to all collective members of the Association and members of the Board of Directors. If a member of the Board of Directors of the Association terminates his or her activities prematurely during the term of office, the Board of Directors will organize by-elections at the next General Assembly. Any member of the Association may submit a proposal for the election of a member of the Board of Directors, and every member of the Association has the right to be elected. To be elected to the Board of Directors, a two-thirds majority of the votes of the present members of the Association is required.
Article V.: Rights and obligations of a member of the Association
A member of the Association has the right to participate in General Meetings and all events organized by the Association. A member of the Association has the right to vote and be elected. A member of the Association has the right to organize competitions and other events for other members of the Association within the framework of the activities of the Association. A member of the Association regularly participates in the activities of the Association and contributes to them to the best of their ability. A member of the Association respects and complies with the Statutes and acts in a fair-play spirit.
Final provision
These Statutes may be amended or supplemented on the proposal of any member of the Association on the basis of a vote of the General Assembly with the approval of two-thirds of the votes of the present members of the Association. These Statutes were approved by a vote of the General Assembly of the members of the Association on October 28, 2000.
